Tales From The SMP: The Haunted Mansion is a free role-playing game from kiolite where you need to navigate your way around a bone-chilling property. This visual novel is based on the Tales from the SMP side anthology series from the Dream SMP Minecraft server.
Much like in Good Luck, Minutes Man!, you will have the opportunity to interact with some of your favorite Dream SMP characters and determine how the story ends in Tales From The SMP: The Haunted Mansion. It’s also important to note that the game features flashing lights which can cause eye strain.
A haunting story
For fans of the Dream SMP storyline, Tales From The SMP: The Haunted Mansion is a great way to immerse yourself in this fictional world filled with some of your favorite Minecraft streamers. This fan game features a thrilling plot paired with fun mini-games that make it more interesting to play. Keep in mind though that the story is quite short, so you can finish it in no time.
While the length of the game is ideal for those that just want something casual, it also means there are not too many hours of gameplay available to fully enjoy. However, users can also appreciate the creepy elements weaved into the storyline. The UI is also pretty simple and easy on the eyes, so reading the dialogue boxes is comfortable to do.
You also have the freedom to save your progress so you can quit the game at any point and come back to your saved file without losing your progress. Installing the game can get kind of confusing, though. Just make sure to extract the downloadable ZIP file so you can find the dedicated EXE file to run the actual game.
Leaves you wanting more
Tales From The SMP: The Haunted Mansion does leave you hanging due to its short gameplay duration, but it still has its fair share of great qualities that make it worth playing. In addition to the immersive plot, the mini-games add a refreshing twist to it, so you don’t have to continuously read through blocks of text over and over again.
